Let’s rewrite the narrative.
I’ve been obsessed lately about this idea of rewriting the narrative, about using our crafts and skills to bring change. First of all, while I am writing this, I have to admit that I really don’t know how to do so myself, especially how to use my coding skills to do more and for me this is a struggle. Also, I realized, I should remember that I am human and I am learning. I understand that mistakes happens and I will fail in the process of trying new things.
Recently I read on the thetravelingfro website
This little quote right here changed my day. We all can agree, that the media paints us a fucked up world, that seems to get worse every day. I know it’s a crazy world out there fill with both good and bad but I also know there’s room for change and that we can do things better.
For the first time in years, I feel change coming. It’s not that change wasn’t happening before, but it’s for the first time in years, I feel a global shift. A collective consciousness is waking up and it wants to do meaningful things. I guess when you get oppress to much, at some point people rebel against any system.
I believe there’s not point of living a life without meaning. While we could argue that life has not meaning itself, but it’s this meaning we give to it that gives us a sense of purpose which acts like a compass for a period of our lives.
No matter what you do in life or your background, let’s rewrite the narrative. As a creative generation, we have the power to find new ways and better ways to create impactful change. Your art, craft and voice matter. You matter and together we have the power to inspire, to give voice to the voiceless and the possibility to empower people.
Here are some of the things I believe in:
- Your Uniqueness is Golden
- Us who can, should inspire and empower those in need
- Small change around each of us, can bring big changes globally.
Together we can do so much. Let this be a call for each of us to shine our light. I may not know yet, how I will use my skills do so, but how do you imagine you will rewrite the narrative ?
